Description of venue:
SunWa River Lodge, has utilized the beautiful environment of the Vaal River and created a Venue in the Bushveld where tranquillity and hospitality are paramount. The concrete office environment is replaced with Log and Glass Conference facilities overlooking the river and embraced by the sound of water, fresh air and sunlight!

Canadian Log Cabins, Wood and Glass Conference Facilities, Log Entertainment areas with lapas and swimming pool grace stretched-out lawns flowing steadily onto granite rocks into the river.

Ending a successful Day of Conference and hard work with leisure time soaking up the peaceful atmosphere that only nature can provide

Description of Location:
SunWa River Lodge is situated in the "Vredefort Dome" World Heritage Site, the biggest Meteorite impact site in the world. The Venue is on the banks of the Vaal River, only 10 km's outside the Town of Parys and 120 km's South of Johannesburg (±1hour’s drive). The sound of water running down the river welcomes you as you enter the Venue.

SunWa is centrally located on the boarder of three Provinces, Gauteng, Northwest & Free State making it accessible to many.

What We Have To Offer

SunWa, the only Venue in the areas of Gauteng, North West and Free State to offer the most Team Building activities on site combined with Conference Facilities and Accommodation. No outsourcing! Value for money! All activities are owned by SunWa and run by in-house trained and experienced facilitators.

Activities range from River Rafting, Quad Bikes, Paint Ball strategic games, Vietnam Huey Helicopter, Amazing Race, Silly Buggers, Survivor course, Mini Olympics, Ski Slope, Obstacle Course and various indoor games.

Evenings offer a variety of dinners, in and out-doors, live entertainment, Gala and Themed Dinners. 2011 Special: Conference Package includes Entertainers and Theme Dinners for groups of 30 and more.

Only at SunWa! Champagne Breakfast or Sundownder with the Huey helicopter as a Conference lift off or closure on a high note

Catering: Variety from Buffets, In and out-door meals, Braai’s and Spitbraai’s, Potjiekos or Pasta Cook-Up Competitions, Themed Dinner, River Lunches and Picnics.

Size of Venue: The terrain and environment is in total approximately 20 Hectares.

Accommodation Available: SunWa accommodates a maximum of 150 Delegates (sharing with a 3rd bed in some accommodation). 5 Different types of accommodation for different hierarchy of staff.

Nearest Airport: SunWa offer the Client a private landing strip for Fixed Wing Aircraft as well as a Private Helicopter Landing Pad at SunWa River Lodge.
